Jean Shorts

 
Hello Loves,

I had an epiphany yesterday. I have been a fashionista type of girl for years. Meaning I would have heart palpitations if you asked me to shop anywhere but Ross, Tj Maxx, and Marshalls. LOL I also love me a great outlet. I am lucky enough to live in Orlando where I have access to several outlet stores. But my epiphany was that I can still go to the mall and find great deals. You just have to look and pay attention to signs. Some of the larger department stores like Macy’s and Dillard’s have great deals but I always thought that my budget wouldn’t allow me to shop there but I was all wrong. So I’m telling you as I find items I will share with you all. Like for instance yesterday I got a pair of jeans for $13. What?.. Crazy right, yes because they were originally $78. So I will be your liaison and help you find they great deals. Now let’s get to those jean shorts. 

   Let’s be honest it’s hot here in florida and jean shorts are a must but if your sweating and hot how can jean shorts look cute and or bring your any comfort or ease of wearing? Am I right? Yes, I know I am. Now this blog is about some of my favorite go to brands and now a new brand I found this winter. But lets be honest who wants to tug no their shorts all day and be uncomfortable while they are riding up or feel like out butt is hanging out. So I have been on the ever elusive search of the right shorts. Lets shut say I have been through countless pairs and I have asked all types of women, girls, and all shapes and sizes to find out what is there go to. Now you can break the bank for sure on these bad boys and you can have multiple pairs. But if you have that one "Magical" pair you will always go back to it. Kind of like your favorite cup of tea or coffee. You need a couple of staple pairs that you can interchange with several outfits. I would say at least one pair of blue jean shorts. As you can see I have 2 and this is because one is distressed and one isn't. Just so I have 2 options for the look I am going for. Now one black and one white you should totally have but I added in a grey pair this year. I feel like grey is pretty hot color right now in jeans and can be super versatile. 

First pair of shorts that I feel in love with years ago were Paige shorts. One of the things I liked the most were they had stretch to them. This was way before the stretch jeans became popular. They have different styles and looks but I do feel that they have great coverage and look amazing on no matter what style you get.  Paige jean shorts do run true to size. As I said in the beginning try out the fashionista stores or nordstrom rack for paige jean shorts to get the best deals on these. 

  My second pair is hudson. I have had 2 pairs of hudson jean shorts, mostly because I’ve just had other shorts in my mix. I like how they sit on my hips and have great stretch to them. As I’m sure most of you can agree having shorts that sit comfortably and your butt doesn’t hang out the bottom is the best for jean shorts. These also run true to size.  Again these I find at my local outlets or department stores and Nordstrom Rack. 

   
  Third pair of shorts I have had in the mix are American Eagle. I can say as a Mom to a now teenager I get these more for her now so we don’t get confused on who’s is who’s. But the shorts they have are great. Most of these shorts can be rolled or unrolled to make them shorter or longer. I do like how AE has been adding into their distressing some lace and other details so make them different then the normal distress. AE jean shorts I usually size up one size to fit comfortably for there numbered shorts, if it's S,M,L, I go with my true to size.. I do have some in more true size but I like to size up for more room and comfort. Shorts are on sale at AE for bogo 50% off. 

   I also found a great pair of Old Navy jeans shorts that are on sale right now. I tried the bermuda ones, if your looking for longer shorts these were great.  They had lots of stretch to them and would look amazing over a swim suit and even paired with a cute top. But, I really liked there boyfriend shorts better. They seem to more my style. They still covered all the bits we want covered, great stretch to them and were shorter. These were both true to size. But the bermuda I would almost go up one size to have a little more room. Shorts are on sale and there is an extra 30% off coupon right now too. 

                                                

















    Last but certainly not least I stumbled upon this new brand, well not really new they’ve been around for 19 years now but they are new to me One Teaspoon. I love how they fit. They are the perfect distressed jean shorts for me. They sit nicely on my hips and I love how they are shorter in the front but longer in the back. As a busy PERSON, (I put that in caps because I’m not just a Mom, Wife, Trainer, Instructor, Blogger I am so many things that Person is what I can say I am without a label of just one of these) I love how I don’t have to worry about my butt hanging out or that they are to short and showing to much.  I love the distressing on them, they are just adorable. Depending on the style I would size up or go true to size. I have one blue pair of distressed that I love but I sized up one to have more room. Now I do have 2 other pairs one in grey and one in black and those I went true to size and they fit great and I love how the cover my tush and I still have room. I found revolve website that they are on sale. Most of the one's I posted are for sale on there. They also have other types on sale as well.
