Tula Skin Care

Today I wanted to discuss my skin care routine. I have a tendency to have up's and downs with breakouts because of my daily routines (being a instructor)and always on the go. I have used several products over the years and fluctuated like crazy with what to use and what not to use. I call my older sister (who has her esthetician license) and ask her what to use. Her biggest drive home to me always is moisturizer but I struggled with this because every time I've used one I would break out or my skin would get super oily. I have used this one product for the past 2 years I liked it mostly because it was organic and my faced seem to do well with the wash, but non of the other products. I wanted to switch mostly because even after I would wash my face I noticed would still have a thin layer of makeup on my face. I don't have oily or to dry of skin and I'm only prone to breakouts 1. if it's that time of the month or 2. if I'm not taking care and washing my skin properly. Again I'm out on a mission trying to see what would be best for me and help with my overall skin care routine.

This past weekend was my birthday and for some reason I like to indulge a little in "self care" around the time of my bday wether it be skin care, workout clothes, just new clothes, or makeup my forever love lol. This year my husband and I led out on a trip on the night of my birthday to get me some protein and my daily greens. Well luckily for me the store was out and their credit card machines were down. So that led to the next indulgence since there was no self care of proteins and greens I went to Ulta. I walked up and down the aisle thinking about getting some of the same makeup I needed that I use daily but instead I decided to try out something new. I had heard from other bloggers about Tula but didn't really give it a try until the weekend. I was automatically drawn to it one because there was a huge LOTUS flower on it and it was the beautiful blue color. Now let me emphasize why lotus is in all caps. I am a lover of lotus flowers (I have a tattoo of one)not just because I am a yoga teacher but because in order to grow into something beautiful you have to come through the mud and the muck. Nothing starts out as this beautiful thing and stays that way we all have to grow into our beautful selves. Next that drew me in was the word probiotic. We need probiotic ingesting and on our skin, to help with the good and bad bacteria we have inside and out. It helps the skin to remove irritation and it helps the skin to retain moisturizer.

I grabbed the purifying face cleanser and they pro-glycolic resurfacing gel. There was a little sign that said if you bought these 2 products you would get the trial size day/night cream for free. even better I thought to myself that way I can at least see if I like it since most moisturizers break me out. Well, of course I get the register and the girl says they are out. No free trail for me but I did get the other 2 products.

With writing this review I did want to do some more research on the products. I went the there site and I found this pretty cool questioner about my skin type and my activity levels for them to be able to recommend what would be best suited for my skin. Here is a snap shot of what my test results came back as. Pretty cool exactly what I bought minus the day/night cream. Listed below the picture of what they recommended is the list of benefits for the first grouping of products which is what I purchased. I couldn't complain looks they do all of what I am exactly looking for. I'm excited to see the results.

I'm on day 3.5 of using the cleanser and toner and my face feels and looks amazing. I'm not just saying this either, for someone who 1. loves her some makeup to 2. is constantly on the go and usually in a gym environment I see and feel a difference. I will do a follow up on this product in 2 weeks so let you all know about the transition I see with going from one product to Tula. I would highly recommend before going to the store and just purchasing use the tools they have online and take the test and read about which one's you would feel would be best for your skin tone.

Love and Butterflies,
Vanessa
