Lifestyle Workout Wear
Happy Sunday Loves,
Tonight I'm sitting here thinking about all of my favorite workout brands. HHUUUUMMMM Ok I have to be honest my Husband works for Under Armour for almost 14 years now so I have quiet a bit of it. In all honesty even if he didn't work there I would still own a bunch of it. One it's comfy but two it last, and I mean last. I've had some things for about 10 years.
In this post I want to just give some tips on what you should spend the money on and what you can get for a fraction of the cost. If there is one thing that I would say you should splurge on is leggings. I don't like see through leggings (no one likes to see a girl in down dog with see through pants) or pilling on leggings. Pilling on leggings is the little balls on the inside of the leggings where the legs rub or it can even be on the top lay of the leggings all over.
Now for shirts I would say you could go with most brands to get a lifestyle wear shirt. You could do any brand really to get a cute comfy mom/errand outfit. If your going to be going for a run or a hot yoga class I would pick something that is moisture wicking. You don't want something that is going to hold the sweat and weigh you down and be super uncomfortable. I of course don't know what all TJ Maxx, Marhsalls, or Ross in your areas carry but from my travels and my local one's here in Orlando I do notice some brands like UA, Reebok, Nike, but I also see other brands like Lucy, 90Degrees, Onzie, Manduka, & Gaiam. Of course there's other brands but I'm drawing a blank right now. Any of these stores or old navy even could get you some great lifestyle shirts to go with most leggings and joggers.
If I'm in my lifestyle outfit mode meaning weekend wear or running errands it all depends on my pants how I pick my shirts. Today I'm showing you how I wore my bright Under Armour leggings with my white UA terry fleece sweater. I wanted to wear something that I could go from teaching yoga to running errands in which is exactly what I did yesterday. I'll link below what I had on for my outfit. As I always say you want to wear something that is comfy and you feel confident in. You could totally wear leggings like this with a loose long sleeve or front tie shirt or sweater like I have here or even add in a vest. Scarfs are always a great accessory to have when trying to stay warm or just dress up a lifestyle outfit.
Bra's is another subject again it depends on the day if I want to either get a workout in or possibly teach I will wear a true sports bra but if I'm kicking it around town I will wear a more minimal bra. Some of my favorites are aerie bralettes. They have some cotton one's and lace one's that can easily go under any lifestyle shirts. I always like an off the shoulder with a lace strap sticking out.
Now I am a minimal shoe kind of girl. Meaning I really don't like thick shoes I like more of a barely there kind of shoe. But, I'm also that girl not afraid to wear some uggs with my lifestyle or workout outfits. Most of my workouts are barefoot so I'm looking for warmth and comfort on the way to the studio. If your running errands you can do other minimal shoes like converse or even the new sperry's that look like converse.
Look out for Fashion Friday this week and I'll be giving another workout wear outfit with some options on how to dress it up or down.
Love and Butterflies,
Vanessa
